Whether you’re planning a renovation or new build, we’re here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

What is a Building Permit?

A building permit is more than just a piece of paper. It’s a review process that helps ensure your project complies with the Ontario Building Code, local zoning by-laws, and other municipal requirements before demolition or construction begins.

Once your permit is issued, municipal building inspectors conduct inspections at key stages of construction to verify that the work complies with the approved drawings and the Ontario Building Code. This process helps identify issues early and provides homeowners with an added layer of protection.

BCIN Qualified  Designer

A BCIN (Building Code Identification Number) is issued by the Province of Ontario to qualified designers who have demonstrated their knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and are authorized to prepare building permit drawings for specific types of residential projects.

As a BCIN Qualified Designer and Certified Building Code Official (CBCO), I combine design expertise with firsthand knowledge of how building departments review permit applications. My goal is to prepare clear, code-compliant drawings while guiding you through the permit process with confidence.
